[he's staring! canting his head one way, then the other, like he's really thinking. of course, Shadow Milk Cookie is not going to tell Pure Vanilla Cookie what he's thinking about. yet.
a way to get stronger, faster, huh? maybe...
his fingers curl a bit, not pressing roughly, but definitely there's some pressure in his hold as he pulls Pure Vanilla's face down and leans in. and then he licks him on the corner of his mouth. he feels it, too, a tingle in his Soul Jam. a resonating even though he is experimenting.
( Tongue finds mouth, and Pure Vanilla makes a soft, surprised sound. His heart jumps in his chest, and he nearly does the very same. He feels it, too. A connection -- one that was so subtle, yet there all the same.
Is this what he thought would work? Is it truly what he wanted? That may likely be the case, given-- the way that it touches their very souls, albeit quietly.
Still, he reaches and cups his cheeks with both hands. )

[intriguing! Shadow Milk hasn't really been this close to anyone in who knows how long. but he enjoys the way his Soul Jam feels right now, even if he is annoyed.

[Shadow Milk's whole body threatens to stiffen upon contact. it's still weird, being affectionate with Pure Vanilla. but it isn't like they haven't been growing accustomed to each other. living together, on more than one occasion, Shadow Milk has fallen asleep on Pure Vanilla's shoulder, and vice versa. and, rather than shove PV away, Shadow Milk has tolerated the closeness.

it takes him a split-second to relax, which no doubt worries Pure Vanilla. but he shouldn't be nervous, because Shadow Milk isn't pulling away. keeping his eyes shut, he leans in, hands coming up to rest on Pure Vanilla's shoulders and fingers curling around the back of his neck. it feels like Shadow Milk's Soul Jam is also reacting to this kiss. it's warm, kind of frightening!]
( It isn't just Shadow Milk that enjoys it. He's enjoyed every bit of affection that the both of them have shared with one another. It warms him to his very core - his souljam resonating with the other's so easily.

as they held hands, Shadow Milk could feel his soul jam beating, almost loud enough that it was in his ears. he looked down and noticed that the both his and Pure Vanilla's soul jams were pulsing together.
after a moment of watching, Shadow Milk lifted his head again and cleared his throat]
( He agrees quietly -- and with a nickname just for him, no less.
But, he does wonder if he feels it, too. Does he feel the way that their souljams are only all the more drawn to one another? How right it feels?
Fingers intertwin with the other's then, squeezing gently before he leans forward once more. The kiss this time -- it's a little less chaste, but it's no less gentle. At the least, it's before he can protest that nickname he's given him. )

Shadow Milk's eyes shut this time as he's drawn closer, his head tilting just a bit to one side so that he can catch Pure Vanilla's lips properly. as gentle as it is, Shadow Milk cannot deny the way his Soul Jam sings in response. two halves, joined together. the intimacy he's craved.
He can feel the way that Shadow Milk's loneliness has began to fade -- even if it's just a little. A soft sound of approval leaves him when Shadow Milk kisses him properly, fingers moving to card through blue-colored hair gently.
Can he feel it, too? The way that his soul becomes warmer with this much affection?
Shadow Milk's number begins to change then -- albeit it goes unnoticed for now. )
[the warmth is almost too much to bear! it's not burning hot, but it's a lot all at once to give to someone who used to despise such a thing. it's been months since Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk had their showdown at the Spire, and Shadow Milk had told his other half that he'd hated him.
look where they are, now...
he pulls back a bit suddenly as the memories return, huffing through his nose. the number above him looks like it's trying to change, flickering between five and six. Shadow Milk presses his hands to his head, as though he wants to claw his own eyes out]
This... warmth... In my Soul Jam...!
[tainted............. Pure Vanilla's light is seeping in]
( He pulls back suddenly, and Pure Vanilla can feel the slightest bit of disappointment. But then, Shadow Milk responds-- as he does -- and Pure Vanilla can't help but laugh almost warily at that. Still, his expression softens. )
